Choosing materials that suit the space

Why the right surface is about far more than the colour.

Light-toned architectural timber cabinetry with careful joinery and natural light
Material palette / light oak and neutral finishes

Every room works a little differently. A busy family kitchen needs surfaces that respond to everyday use; a quiet study might call for natural timber and a softer finish.

We begin with how a room will be lived in, then look at species, cabinetry finishes, edge profiles, hardware, light and the amount of care a surface will need.

There is no single perfect material. The aim is an informed choice that looks right, performs well and still feels good to live with in years to come.
